Great Books For Savvy Artists.

Posted by Hayley Esther on Sunday, November 03, 2024
So I talked it over with the king, and we've decided that there's something to be learnt from recent events. One tiny little lesson before I give you what you came for, our book recommendations for savvy artist's life and business. I read a lot so I have a lot to say in just a moment but before we get there.

It doesn't feel right to overload my awesome readers with content after such a heavy post like the last post. Click here if you didn't see it.

So instead of that, we have decided to put out today's post celebrating world book day, then leave posting for a while to give time and space and respect to our loved ones currently grieving.

Hope that's cool with you guys!

Anyway, 's let's get on with it, shall we?

I have decided to put this in 3 sections and there are roughly 12 books in all. Again I remind you pretty much all of these are affiliate links, this means that we may make a little tiny commission if you buy any of the books we suggest, but this will be no extra cost to you. It basically just means we get more jaffa cakes and hot chocolate to keep churning out content to inspire and encourage you guys.

Sound good?

Great!

Our First Section Is Life

Ok, guys, the whole point of these books is to help you be a better you. A better you will likely be able to produce better art. Get it?

Quick note, there's nothing wrong with the you, you are now, but we as humans are always moving towards something, it may as well be something better.

Here's the list.

Off-Balance On Purpose - Dan Thurmon I believe that work/life balance is a myth that can interfere with our art. Dan explains what's better to do instead of trying to balance things.

Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get a Life: A Kick-Butt Approach to a Better Life This book was life-changing for me. If you are fed up of fluffy little self-help books and need something with a few more nuts to chew on. This is your book. Loved it! Still, live by many of the principles in this book.

Calm - Fearne Cotton  If you want something a little more gentle then Fearne Cotton has got you covered. All of her books are fab, but this is my favourite.

Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway - Susan Jeffers This was such a good book that really helped me get over myself so that I could just get on with getting my art up online. It's been one heck of a journey ever since, and I owe that in part to the lessons and simple writing style of the late, great Susan Jeffers.

Our Second Section Is Business

This is my personal favourite section and narrowing this down to just 4 was hard, but here's the best of the best when it comes to business books.

Craft a Creative Business: Making & Marketing a Successful Creative Business This is such a good little handbook for all artists wanting to sell their work.

She Means Business: Turn Your Ideas into Reality and Become a Wildly Successful Entrepreneur Pretty self-explanatory. Enjoy the surprise.

Small is the New Big - Seth Godin  - Seriously if you haven't read any of Seth Godin's books you should! Bonus because I can't not include it Linchpin that book revolutionised my business!

Secrets of Closing the Sale by Zig Ziglar It's been a hot minute but from what I remember, it's pretty good.

Our Final Section Is Art

So for this section, the listings are not going to be explained because I want to list a fair few and I know that these books will impact different types of artists in different ways. Enjoy guys!

My Tips For Business + Resources (That Totally Work For Blogging)

Posted by Hayley Esther on Sunday, November 03, 2024
Dear Readers,

Happy New Year!

In order to help you make  your year as successful as possible, I have compiled a list of my tips and go to resources to help kick start  your business. This is my new year gift to you.

You are welcome.

Before I get started, please feel free to read only the sections that apply to you, although you are very welcome to read the whole thing.

If you have any questions please do get in touch, I'm more than happy to help you if I can.

Okay then, let's get started by getting the longest section out-of-the-way!

1.Preparation Is Everything.

Organisation is very important to ensure that your business runs as smoothly as possible and you don't waste valuable time. That's pretty much a given, but what people don't usually think of is how important it is to have a backup plan. It's really important to spend some time working out what you will do if your business starts to fail.

Do you have some ideas of how you could get your business back on track?

Do you know where you're going?

Gaining clarity on where you are going is super important and this needs to happen right at the beginning of your business, preferably before launch.

If you fail to do this, you will be setting yourself up for failure.

Also be aware that no matter how amazing your business is, not everyone is going to like you or believe in you, that is completely okay, they are entitled to their opinion, but don't let what people, even people in your close circle, think of you take you off base.

Again this is far less likely to happen if you plan for it. Have some polite but firm statements on your position rehearsed and written down for when you can't just ignore the naysayers ( because maybe the naysayer in question is a family member)

Make your statement, stay polite and focused but if the person questioning you refuses to listen, don't let that get to you. It can be so tempting the early stages of a new blog or business, to give up when people you care about don't share your dream but remember this is your dream, don't expect anyone else to see it the way you do because they won't. ( especially if your dream goes against the grain of what is deemed a proper job these days)

All of this perpetration stage could be covered if you make a business plan, even if your business or blog is not intended for making a profit, it's still a really important step. There are lots of different ways to do this, it's even possible to make a one page business plan, how you do it is not important. It's just really important that you take some time to do a bit of planning. It makes all the difference.

2.Have A Good Key-Chain.

There is not just one key to success in business, there are several but establishing a really strong network is really vital because sometimes the key you are looking for, is a person.

Not only is a good idea to connect with people in your industry, or similar industries via social media, but it is also a good idea to have a look at your friendship circle and see if you know anyone that could help you in a certain area of your business. One of my closest friends is a marketing expert. Another of my close friends is really good at coding ( something I hate) and others still are artists, writers of a different field and fantastic administrators and researchers.

Life is about helping each other and growing, if you think about  blogging, what this looks like is simply leaving genuine comments on other people's blogs. People are far more likely to check out your work if they see you care about what they have to say.

Also be engaged with your audience, if you get comments, tweets etc...make sure you reply.

3.Be True To You

I know I just said that networking is important and it is, but at the same time you need to make sure that you are only networking with people who enrich your life and business.

Once you have established the direction of your blog or business, then you should know what kind of people you want to be connected with, connect with the people who make you happy to have them in your contact list.

Don't feel like you have to talk to everyone because they might possibly be a future customer. Your focus matters but so does your health, convictions and happiness, don't compromise on any of these just to gain a new customer.

You may gain that customer but you will lose many more that liked the real you and that is just really sad.

You will figure out your focus when you are true to your own heart because this brings out your passion and passion is something that impacts the success of your business greatly.

4.Move With The Times.

Trends change and grow, they evolve and take twists and turns, its important for anyone in business to make sure that they are keeping up with the trends of today so they can create the demand of tomorrow.

There is no point in blogging about how to use video cassettes because they are now redundant for the most part.

A good way to make sure that your business is current is to see what else your customers are paying attention to and then what kind of content your competition is producing. Amazon comments can be great for this.

5.Balance it baby!

Life is not meant to be all work or all play. We need a balance of both in order to feel fulfilled.  I absolutely detest the idea of chasing happiness. I believe in chasing fulfillment instead. A key way of doing that is by living in the moment and enjoying the life you have and the people who are in it, and making sure you take care of yourself too. Yes, building your business is important to you, but if you don't have anyone to share your success with, then what is the point?

Family and friends matter, don't neglect them in pursuit of success. It's not worth it!

Also, the more enriched your life is by things outside of your business, the more you will have the energy to focus on your business.

There will be times when you have to make sacrifices but don't work too hard, burning out is not going to be a good thing for you or your business.

If you don't check out any of my other resource recommendations please do check out this one, it's really important you understand what working too much could do to you.

Please take care.

6.Don't be Beige.

Standing out is the only way to make people take notice of you. Don't be beige it's boring. Beige stays in the comfort box, doesn't take risks and doesn't make a difference. Some of you reading this will only be wanting to make success from your business, but some of you may well be looking to make history.

Did beige ever do that?

No, not unless it counts for being the most boring and depressing colour ever.
Being undecided is just not an option if you want to make it in the business world. Taking risks is just part of the deal. Running a business is hard work, beige would take the short cut, stay in the middle and be satisfied with less than the best.

Don't do that.

If fear is an issue for you then Susan Jeffers book could be as life changing for you as it was for me.

7.If You Want Customers To Care, Your Customer Care Needs To Be Top Notch

You've heard it before but taking care of your customers should be your number one priority, you wouldn't even have a business without them. Again, this comes into the business integrity issue, but more than that it's about making someone's day and ultimately getting them to keep coming back and tell others about your business and how you gave them such good customer service!

If you look after them, how can they not come back?

8. Be Tigger

Those of you who know me in real life will know that I am the girl who has been knocked down more times than I can count, but I am also the girl who has gotten up more times than most. You have to.

Tigger never ever stops bouncing, you shouldn't either.

You can't predict what is going to happen in life but you are responsible for how you react. Get up and keep going, if you have a dream then make it happen, no one else is going to do it for you and you are the right person for the job.

Business, like life is a roller-coaster, and you do have to learn to roll with the punches, but it is worth it in the long run. If being your own boss is the thing you need to do to be fulfilled in life, then get up and make something awesome happen!

Remember any issue you have in business is likely to already have been experienced by someone else and chances are that someone has written a book or uploaded a video on that very topic. Don't be afraid to reach out, it can create great working relationships  and is good for your health, well-being and business.

We are designed to grow, if we stay still too long, we usually wind up falling and looking back. Also, don't neglect your spiritual growth and take some time out just to relax and be at peace.
Don't think you know it all, stay teachable and keep learning, keep growing and make your business awesome, because you can.

You just need to believe that and get to work.

Over the next few months we will be unpacking these tips once every two weeks.

Why so spaced out?

Because I want you to have ample time to apply each tip. Rushing this will only lead to a crash and I don't  want that for you, so please do take your time to use these tips as starting point to dive in deeper in each subject.

See you next post!

How To Do It All (and still be relatively sane)

Posted by Hayley Esther on Sunday, November 03, 2024

Self Love For Bloggers

There is a delicate balance as a blogger, between reading or watching things because it's research for our own blog, and watching and reading things just because we enjoy it.

I am convinced true life balance is a complete illusion.

I have believed perfect work/life balance was a myth for many years work-life/balance requires perfection, this is an unrealistic goal to be chasing.

None of us is perfect so why chase perfection?

With that in mind, the title of this post claims the content you are reading contains advice on how to juggle life as a blogger.

It does.

Trust me I am getting to that, but before I give you my tips for managing blogging and life, I first needed to set the scene just so I can give you what I think is the number one most valuable self-loving thing you can do for yourself as a blogger, and indeed a person.

Don't put so much pressure on yourself,
take some time every day just for you.

You can't make your blog as awesome as you want to if you don't have the energy to take care of you.

Only then will you be on top of your game to take care of your blog or whatever else you need to do.

1. Remember the three C's

  1. Consistency
  2. Connections
  3. Cut it down!
The 3 Cs of Sane Living

Consistently putting our goals into little tasks will make life a lot less stressful and increase productivity but we were designed for a relationship so there will come a point where we can no longer do things on our own.

How does this apply to bloggers?

We can consistently create all the content we want to, but if we don't network we won't likely have any readers!

1. Building relationships is a beautiful necessity.

If your blog is your business, then I can understand why you feel like you want to do everything yourself I get it, trust me I do.

It is your blog and you want to make it what you want it to be. That is more than fair enough, but if you reach out to other with different skills, and focus on your own strengths you will make some new friends, create a more professional feel on your blog and be less stressed because you have delegated those things you're not so good at to other people.

2. Mix it up!

Set some time to research how a bunch of different people handle juggling blogging and life, then cherry-pick the tips you like, find what works for you and create your own unique schedule that is perfect for you.

3. Preparation is everything

The one thing that everyone needs to do in order to have a schedule that will be productive is planning ahead. There are many ways to do this.

Some people schedule their blog posts, others have life management files, others still use calendars, agendas or dairies and then there are those people like me that do all of the above.

Whatever you decide to use to manage your life, make sure you do plan ahead.

Knowing you already handled certain things frees up time to do other things and is an excellent stress killer!

4. See yourself as a whole person and plan accordingly.

If you see yourself as just flesh and bones and forget about taking care of yourself emotionally and psychologically then your body will suffer for this.

Make sure before you take on new tasks that you are mentally, emotionally and physically up to the challenge at hand. If not then don't be afraid to say no.

We've come full circle, it really is super important to take care of you before you worry about all the demands of life.

5. Keep it simple.

You knew this one was coming, this entire blog is about simplicity after all!

The key thing you need to remember when creating a plan to manage your life is how your plan is serving you. A good management plan should be simple, help you be productive and on task to complete your goals and NOT a burden!

There is a big difference between being stretched or challenged and feeling overwhelmed or burdened, but that's a whole other post.

Anyway, I need to follow my own advice and look after myself and go eat something so I will leave it there.

The Running Shoes - Suicide, Depressio & Fighting To Win!

Posted by Hayley Esther on Sunday, February 11, 2024
Trigger Warning - Low mood, depression, pain, suicide, past hurts, written about with the intent of encouragement

Disclaimer - As always I still recommend seeking professional advice as to the first course of action if you are feeling low or depressed. All advice given is from experience only.

Lambi Says - Don't let depression or anxiety beat you up you got this, fight to win!

If you have read my last few posts you will know that as of late I have been suffering from depression.

Yet again Jet and his friends had me in a cage that was locked from the inside. (Jet is the name I give to depression because when it shows up for me it is usually jet black)

Sometimes life throws things at us that we really don't expect. When this happens we have to decide if we are going to retreat within ourselves or get out there and serve others.

It can be the hardest thing to push yourself to think of others when you're feeling really low, but it's the very thing we need to do in such times. I have learned some other lessons about Jet and his friends that I want to share with you.

1. Jet's best friend is a doubt.

Depression and doubt go hand in hand and together with fear, they tie you up and paralyze you, so they can throw more rubbish at you and make you think you are unable to fight back.

2. Depression lies.

When depression hits, the voices start. Those voices that say you're worthless or that life isn't worth living, it's pretty common knowledge that depression can lead to bouts of feeling suicidal, but what's lesser known is depression lies to us in other ways too.

Depression can twist things in your mind, nothing is ever what it seems with depression, because you have a black veil over your eyes and unable to see clearly.

I know from experience, I have done some pretty stupid things when listening to the voice of Jet and his friends. We can't blame all our stupid decisions on depression, but you best believe that depression can contribute to making things worse if you don't take care over what you say and do.

3. Depression loves drama.

It's not uncommon to think that things are far worse than they actually are, just because you are depressed, but also it's not uncommon to fill in blanks with things that are not really there. There is a tendency to overthink things when you're depressed, purely because you suddenly have the time to do so because your mind is not actively thinking about other things.

4. Life doesn't care that you did something because you were depressed, you will have to deal with the consequences anyway because that's just a part of life.

It can be painful, especially if you know that depression was the reason actions such as rejecting people, lashing out or just disappearing from the world for a while actually happened and you now have to deal with the consequences of something you did when you were not feeling yourself.

5. Depression is selfish.

It seems to be concerned with your pain but really it seeks only to give you more of the same. I know this one may get a little bit of lash back and that's fine. I understand that depression can be a chemical/hormonal issue, but it doesn't change the fact that if you let it, depression will tell you what to do.

These are 5 lessons I've learnt from my last visit from Jet.

I'm sharing them because although many people experience different things even when battling the same issues, at least one of those lines I've just written may make you think of something in your own life.

I'm trying to make a point here, we can justify it and rationalize it all we like, don't get me wrong I am on the side of those fighting to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

I know the pain of depression all too well, but the fact is, depression doesn't care about us, and its high time we fight back!

You see guys, there is hope. When you're depressed you don't think there is, but as I have stated before, sometimes hope is hidden.

We can't see the beauty of a brand new day when we are too busy hiding under the sheets just wanting to give up on everything.

Have you noticed that covering your head, be it by a blanket, your hands or something else, is the go-to position when you feel really low?

Depression loves the dark.

 Don't feed it.

Depression loves you to suffer.

So take care of yourself.

Depression seeks to take you down.

 So take it down first.

Fight to win!!

You can, you think that you're too weak, but you are much stronger than you think and that pain you feel right now, is only a reminder that you are alive, you can make it.

Get up, it's time to start running again.

How?

The number one way to battle depression is to make sure you have the right tools for the job.

Get armed!
Knowledge is power, but only if you apply it.

Get the right tools for the job.

Invest in yourself.

Know your enemy so you can work out how best to fight and get the right armour for the job because the battle is fierce!

  • This includes The right support - family, friends, medical professionals etc..
  • The right care tools - for your body, soul and spirit.
  • The right lifestyle for you, it's really important to be true to yourself and to allow your creativity, gifts and talents to be released into this world.
To be true to yourself, you must first find yourself.

The journey of self-discovery may take you to some strange places but stick with it because after finding God, finding yourself is the most precious discovery you can ever make and it will help you fight to win when it comes to depression.

Chase fulfilment, but don't forget to let yourself be happy too.

Make peace with your past, because if you leave anything buried alive it will stink and like a zombie, come chasing you in your present life ready to kill you and taking you kicking and screaming back to the painful places.

I don't know who I am writing this too right now, but don't give up we need you!

You were born to solve a problem only YOU can solve.

Lambi_looks_For_clues_Art_By_Alex_Bax_All_Rights_Reserved

You were born with a purpose that goes far beyond this life, you can and will leave a legacy, but if you give up today...then the world loses out and the pain will not end.

Beautiful girl, the sun always shines brightest after the storm.

Always.

The Son always shines brightest after the storm.

Dude, you got this.

Stand firm, get those running shoes on and prepare for battle.

Lambi_goes_For_Run_Art_By_Alex_Bax_All_Rights_Reserved

I don't know if Jet is ever going to get the message, the harder he and his dark company fight me, the harder I will fight back. The more encouragement, hope and love I will release into this world because I will not let Jet beat me!!

I wonder if maybe that's why life keeps throwing me this battle over and over again, but no matter the reason, I have resolved to fight to win, it was not an easy decision and fighting is part of the deal in the battle.

Some days I really don't feel like it, and it is in those moments I must throw myself again on my Savior and allow my friends to help me keep my head above water. I want my life to be a living example that there is always hope.

Even if you suffer from depression, you can still have a fairly normal life ( whatever normal is) depression doesn't have to dictate how you treat other people, your life choices or your ability to work and chase your dreams.

Yes I know it's hard sometimes , but that's why they call it a battle and here's a little secret about life, it's hard sometimes, fighting is a part of our makeup, we are designed to stand, we are designed to run and we are designed to win, the question is, are you ready to put away the excuses and get on with the race?

Lambi_goes_For_Race_Art_By_Alex_Bax_All_Rights_Reserved

A few days ago I didn't want to be here, Jet had me in a headlock, but now I am so grateful for all the amazing people I learned my battle strategy for Jets attacks because he didn't win. I'm still breathing and life goes on.

I know this thoughts day post is a little late, but like I said at the beginning iv been going through a horrible depression recently and honestly, it nearly took me out....nearly.

I am back now though, stronger and more ready to fight than ever.

Jet doesn't get to win in my life, not now not ever, but what about you?

Aren't you tired of being pushed around by depression?

Then stand up dear friend, an army is forming to take down Jet and all his evil devices, and if no one else wants the job, I'm happy to be the general.

Are you in?

If you have any thoughts or comments feel free to get in touch, but for now, I think that's about it.

I'm more than happy to pray for you if you send me your prayer request or to just listen if that is what you need.

Take care all, no seriously please take care!

An Alternative Gospel Message To The Illuminati (Brotherhood of the snake) Part 2.

Posted by Hayley Esther on Sunday, January 21, 2024
I've been demonitsed.
Coinsidence? I think not.
Thing is my silence can't be bought.
I made it to the top of the system to witness it without taking a single death oath.

So come at me brotherhood if you dare! Anything you do against me just proves your existence to my audience.

Oh yes and I know about how you like to gas light your victims but that won't work on me.

Four years ago, giving up my voice was my choice. Today though, you've given me no reason to stay silent.

There are two camps within the structure of the top. There are those who are evil for evil evils sake and then there's the strategically evil.

You have your witches, warlocks, priestess, grand dames, mothers of darkness and other such evil for evils sake.

Then the strategic evil, packaged in a slick suit and armed with a complex plan and a spiderweb of a network that's more confusing then a ball of tangled string.

This one knows that one but then this one is secretly working against that one while striking deals with a third. Rince repeat but on a corporate, governmental and global scale.

Surely though if you are Brotherhood you already know this.

The flip side however is a beautiful kingdom that Jesus builds through His followers.

The deal is if you choose Jesus side, building yourself, projects and His kingdom in this life and eternity in bliss in the next.

The kingdom of darkness is limited the kingdom of God is unlimited but again, God is pro agency you get to choose your side.

That's the gist of it.

Your choice.

Do you take the window of grace open to you or not?

An Alternative Gospel Message To The Illuminati (Brotherhood of the snake)

Posted by Hayley Esther on Friday, January 19, 2024
I'm assuming that you are brotherhood reading this right now. So I don't need to give you a basic Christian gospel you know it and Lucifer has you fighting against it and if he doesn't you're not high level enough to know about the secrets of the serpent.

So here's a alternative version of a gospel message for brotherhood, sisterhood and illuminati members.

Ready to be refreshed?

The kingdom of heaven never came here. They killed the king. So God changes tactics , you stop hearing about the kingdom of heaven after Jesus.

The gospel of grace becomes the narrative, grace is amazing but it allows for flaws, understanding that is not possible to live only under the kingdom of god. We are citizans of two kingdoms, we live in the world but we are of the kingdom of heaven. Example, taxes.

God has to have grace because his religion is holy agency. He is so pro free will but also expects us to be made holy through Christ and to try to live up to holy standards

Grace and holiness are a dance , the ideal mix of the Christ centered life is to lead a holy life knowing God's grace covers us when we fail.

We recently entered an era where the Grace of God is abused and holiness demonized. Those that try to live holy are told they are not tolerant and the only thing the tolerant won't tolerate is a lack of tolerance of their ungodly ideals.

At the helm of it all is Freemasonry. Yeah I said it. Oaths or no oaths something's need to be said and others concealed.

I truly believe Freemasonry has taught all it can and gone as far as it can go. There are truths and lessons in freemasonry that are excellent, can't fault the fact that for hundreds of years it has worked well.

The problem is when Lucifer is introduced into the mix, you get a less than perfect build. Twisted truths with half lies lead to a path that ends in destruction and death.

Don't lie to yourself, you're brotherhood you have therefore seen this happen.

The truth is however, humanity doesn't need Lucifer anymore. We can build and achieve far greater light and heights without him.

We can not do without the great architect , in my honest opinion that is God most high. It therefore makes sense to consider the build He has in mind.

God has things for each of us to build. There's the corporate build of His kingdom advancing here on earth, but there's also the build of the individual person and then the projects they are called to.

This is the core belief of holy masonry and what my blog is all about. The art of change, transformation and building with God.

We can do this by taking the foundation of the bible and adding case studies of those who built before us. We glean from their lives and the word of God and we build ourselves, our projects and His kingdom here on earth.

Why?

Because what God has to offer us is way better than Lucifer's plan ... Lucifer won't keep his word to us but God will.

You want to know Lucifer's true intention for humanity? ( including the superior)

Simply put depopulation.

He comes to kill, steal and destroy but in particular, he plans to kill humanity and rule over demons and angels, he has no intention of sparing even the most loyal of us. He hates human flesh with a passion.

Why? Because we are image bearers of God the great architect, and His airs through Christ Jesus to rule this world.

You're brotherhood you likely don't care about the scripture references you just want the truth.

When I was searching for the truth myself I wished someone would write a message like this, so I'm doing this for the truthers out there.

Those of you hard core enough to have crossed the lines from student of the brotherhood to member, only to find the elites keep all the real secrets for themselves!

Maybe you are the right bloodline for information but even then , the higher ups keep the secrets to themselves.

Truthfully here's the dirty little secret, those elites don't know everything either. They took the left hand path but to have the full picture you must braid left with right.

I did just that so I'm saving you the trouble.

All masons are required to believe in a higher power. I call that higher power God and Lucifer is impersonating him.

So there are two kingdoms. The kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.

The kingdom of darkness at the very top is surrounded by a circle of black light. This is called dark enlightenment.

The kingdom of light is encircled by a light of the glory of God most high.

We don't get to opt out. We all have to choose our side.

Every human serves a master and if your master is yourself, Lucifer takes that as worship of himself. Hell awaits you.

'Insert basic biblical narrative of the gospel here'.

Again, I'm not doing that because I know my audience is thinking on a different level.

This is a lot to get ones head around so I'm going to leave it there.

We will talk more about this in a part two.

Stay savvy,

Why It's Not Your fault Your Blog Or Business Is Not Successful

Posted by Hayley Esther on Monday, January 15, 2024
This is new. I'm writing this post on my phone.

Anyway, we are now in January, which for us here at Daisy Change means Japlananery, the time of the year we set aside to plan out the rest of the year.

Our big theme on Daisy Change this year is moving forward and building with God. Or in our case rebuilding.

Before we can build however , we need to evaluate where we are right now. Some things are working for us , others are not but I'm not going to stress the stuff that hasn't worked.

See I know the dirty little secret about marketing and business.  There is no such thing as one size fits all in business and especially not online. You can try a certain strategy and it may work well for you, but that same strategy is going to be all wrong for someone else.

If you have tried multiple strategies and not found the one that clicks with you, don't worry the right strategy is out there. It just takes time to find it.

There are ofcourse, things you can do to position yourself for success online but even then there are no guarantees.

A lot of business advice is opinion based. The truth is there's room to do business your way. It may work it may not, just make sure it's legal.

Happy searching!

A message to my silent fans.

Ok so this isn't the kind of post I usually write but it is a needed one.
See I have decided to sit with the fact that Daisy Change over the years has become more of a ministry then a business, and that's fine.

With that though comes the fact that you the silent readers are looking to connect to God not me.
You read my posts, maybe like them .but mostly I have to rely on my stats to see what has been going on.

I just wanted to say hello to you and to thank you for reading my work.

I know that the nature of my work is that people from fringe lifestyles are reading and I know you can't be seen to be reading this so you're doing it in private, maybe with a torch under a blanket. Simply because people just don't talk about the things I do in polite society.

I think that its time I tell you that it is a honor and a privilege to serve your authentic faith journey.

The thing is, because I know my content is getting views and I can see that its impacting you even if only in a small way, I've decided to embrace the fact you wish to follow along silently.

I really get it, I have readers that have to keep their identities private because of their work or for their safety.

Just know I appreciate you.

With that in mind, I know that pretty pictures work for some blogs but for the kind of content I'm writing its hard to capture the essence of the post in a picture, and anyway they are annoying for people who just want to read the post. We may occasionally post a pretty picture along side the article, but for the most part  because of the nature of the kind of readers I know I have, I'm going to try to not use pictures because I know they are getting in the way.

Also, since this is a ministry not a business, I think its appropriate to deep dive on some more fringe topics that will likely help you my silent readers.

I am so honored to have you all here.

I know my work is also being translated, and thats awesome!

From the bottom of my heart thank you for your presence.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.

Have a great day.

Move From Moving On To Moving Forward

Posted by Hayley Esther on Monday, April 10, 2023

Moving on and moving forward,

they are the same thing, right?

Well actually no.

Once you have chosen to see life as seasonal and started chasing fulfilment rather than happiness, the next step toward success is moving on from moving on.

Let me explain.

Moving on gives the impression you’ve buried the past and now you're going to build something new on its grave and pretend it never happened. Moving forward is acknowledging the past, for what it is , learning what you can, and then deciding that it doesn’t define you and your still going to move forward with your dreams and in life because nothing can hold you back. You won’t give anything permission to do so. Good on you!

You can move on from things and still not be over it, but hiding from your feelings is not going to help you. If you bury half-open wounds then poison will fester beneath your scars. You gotta make sure that you’re not running from your yourself. Trust me it’s exhausting and only leads to making laps around the same old mountains over and over again and those scars won’t fully heal. If you build on the grave of a wound such as this, then zombies from the past may grab your heels and pull you down.

I know it can be hard to face certain things that lurk back there, but you don’t have to do it alone and in the long run, dealing with and owning your stuff will be good for you. Even if you decide that what lurks back there is gone now or too painful and you're not going to give it much thought beyond forgiving all that need it, including yourself, giving it to a higher power and being more aware of the good things in your life and letting time do its work. It’s still important to make the decision and at least let yourself know what you have decided. If you feel the need to reach out to someone, then do it. There is no shame in asking for help, it’s actually really brave and a very loving thing to do for yourself.

Once you have done this, you will be ready to move forward in life and that is awesome on so many levels!

So then let’s get you on to another level with a plan!

Today you get a little bit of homework

Firstly, have a look in your heart and see that you have not buried your past alive, no one wants to get chased by zombies!

Secondly, write down your dreams, even if they seem completely unrealistically possible.

Write them down anyway or better yet, why not make a vision board? If you can visually see the goals you're shooting for, then it gives you motivation to actually do the work to get there.Pinterest is perfect for this.

If you're into the idea of self help, then here's a couple of really cool bits and pieces that may also help you move forward, not just move on from where you are right now. I can not recommend the first highly enough! Game changer!

The other two are just useful and nice to have, and it doesn't help that they are super cute! With the third one, those stickers are so adorable, I have so many and use mine all the time, but the idea is that happy planner stickers is what I recommending, they help me stay motivated and I am sure they can help you get stuff done too! Quick reminder the below are affiliate links, I may make a small commission with no extra cost to you if you decide to buy any of the things I recommend.

The Five Minute Journal: A Happier You in 5 Minutes a Day
(Again,can not recommend highly enough)

Motivational Gallon Water Bottle  - especially good for helping you to keep on track with your fitness goals.

Paper House Planner, Journal, Dairy, Notebook Assorted Colours - highly recommend journal stickers in general, doesn't have to be these ones but these are adorable and so sweet!

That's about it today.

Move From Happiness To Fulfillment

Posted by Hayley Esther on Monday, February 06, 2023
People that chase happiness will never be happy for very long because it's more about the chase than the object in question.

Happiness is an emotion, it comes and goes because life is up and down.

Chasing happiness usually leads to unhealthy people with dead dreams and more debt then they know what to do with!

I am not suggesting that the desire to be happy or even the pursuit of happiness is wrong .

What I am against is, the idea that life is all about happiness, that we should be aiming for it in every area of our lives and if we don't somehow that makes us a failure and if we can't hold on to happiness, well then that is even worse!

Happiness is an emotion, it is fleeting, I like to think of it like a butterfly, here one moment, gone the next.

Chasing happiness will never bring fulfilment, it will lead to frustration.

You would be much better of chasing fulfilment. It is possible to be  fulfilled but not happy. Chasing fulfilment requires work, sweat, and tears but it is an attainable goal that it is possible to hold on to, unlike happiness.

Even if you are fulfilled in a job or relationship, you are still going to get your down days, but that deep knowing that what you are chasing is right for you, regardless of how you feel right now, will help you to stick it through the rough patches and make it to the mountaintop.

Yes life still throws stuff at us, but from personal experience I have learned that I am happy a lot more of the time by living this way because I am doing the things I love and I have no doubt if you started to chase fulfilment too, you would be happy a lot more by default too.

Chasing Happiness is a rabbit hole, it can be a seemingly bottomless pit. Working on things that will fulfill you is like building a house on strong foundations. It may take a while and require more of you but in the long run, it's far more worth it.

Introducing Organize It October!

Posted by Hayley Esther on Saturday, October 01, 2022

Hello and welcome to a new series!

I canceled Shocktober again this year because to be honest, this is better.

The goal here is very simple.

I've been suffering very badly with fatigue and exhaustion.

(If you know anything about the season I just came through, you will know why)

The goal with this series is simply to organize my life in the month of October.

Then tell you how it's been going in a diary style series.

At the moment, I'm not taking blogging to seriously, I just need to keep my skills sharp.

A diary style series is a great way to do exactly that.

I get to provide value to the readers I have while taking a more casual approach to my blog.

We need to cover the start point so that we can see how I progress through this series.

As I said, I've been suffering with fatigue.

This is largely down to the medication I'm currently on,

Again the season I just came from was intense!

I just went back to university and I'm working on a total of 10 projects at the moment.

I'm looking to stream line to just two or three.

Also  My social media accounts are a mess.

I'm definitely cutting down.

I can't do what I could do in my twenties.

Got to honor the season I'm in so its okay to say good bye to seven projects, at least for now.

My room is still unpacked.

I moved home to Wales a few months ago and my belongings are still in boxes.

I will be unpacked by the end of this month!

That about covers it.

Hope you're doing well today friend, thanks so much for reading this post.
